Rose for Annabelle
These are the visual development pieces I did for my student film "Rose for Annabelle." I was heavily inspired by the William Faulkner's story of similar name "Rose for Emily" and film noirs set in Edwardian age. For the art style of my film, I looked at UPA animations for a simple, limited color palate, and Ronald Searle for his line quality. I used both traditional media (watercolor and ink) and digital media (photoshop) to achieve the final look.
